The Lord prophesied thousands of years ago about the day you are currently in right now. If that sounds crazy it shouldn’t! Remember the entire life of Jesus was prophesied before He ever took a step on this earth.
Don’t you think your life has been foreordained? That’s just a big word to mean that your life has a meaning! Of course it does, because the Bible tells us that God is no respecter of persons (Romans 2:11).
That means that if He prophesied about the life of Jesus he’s also prophesied about YOU. There are hundreds of scriptures that prove my point, but today I just want to look at one.
Thus saith the Lord, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;
Isaiah 49:8 KJV
If this is the first time you are hearing this, that’s OK. This is your day.
You might ask “My day for what?”
This is your day of salvation.
Life doesn’t have to be the same. You can change the way you live life.
This verse is talking about the day of salvation that Jesus ushered in when He sacrificed His life in your place to take the punishment that both you and I deserved.
But at the right time, God sent His Son. A woman gave birth to Him under the Law. This all happened so He could buy with His blood and make free all those who were held by the Law. Then we might become the sons of God.
Galatians 4:4-5 NLV
Don’t you see Jesus did this for you!
It’s not too late to live the life God wants you to live. Regardless of your age or circumstances there is hope because TODAY is the day of salvation.
Faith is always in the present tense, and the only thing you need to be saved is faith.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV
Faith is something that only comes by hearing which is good news because that’s what you’re doing RIGHT NOW.
So what are you waiting for? There is no better time than right now.
This might seem too simple or easy. That’s the point. God didn’t come to make salvation hard to achieve. The Law of Moses (10 Commandments) already did that.
Think about this. God doesn’t look at the outward appearances but at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7).
That’s why Jesus said that to even look on a woman and lust after her is to already commit adultery (Matthew 5:28) and the truth is that if you offend the law in one point you’re guilty of all of it.
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
James 2:10 KJV
Those feel like impossible standards! That’s because they are without the Holy Spirit! This is what the Bible is talking about when it says that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 3:23 KJV
The facts are that we are all on our way to hell without Jesus, but it isn’t good enough to just know that Jesus did these things.
The Bible tells us that we have to believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths – JESUS IS LORD.
See it isn’t good enough to know Jesus is Lord – the Bible says that even the demons know Jesus name and tremble.
You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!
James 2:19 NKJV
No, simply knowing about God isn’t good enough. We have to give our lives to Him.
Sin is NOT ok. Some Christians try to make excuses for sin. They have good intentions not wanting to harm someone’s feelings, but one day when we stand in the throne room of God. I don’t want to give account for how I made room for sin.
Sin isn’t acceptable. You have to come as you are currently and repent of the sin that so easily entangles us. Then call on the name of the Lord and you will be saved (Romans 10:13).
The Bible tells us clearly that it’s the heart that matters.
You cannot get good enough to get to heaven.
You don’t go to heaven because of how good you are. You don’t go to hell because of all the bad things that you’ve done. You go to heaven because you are in the family of God. You go to hell because you aren’t.
I’m telling you today how to become a member of the family of God. Pray this prayer with me.
Jesus I come to you and repent of my sin. I make an about face and determine today to follow you with my life. I believe you came to earth, lived a sinless life and died as a substitute for my sin. Not only that, but I believe that you rose again three days later and live now at the right hand of God. I accept you as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus Name Amen.
Congratulations! You are now part of the family of God. It’s so important that you grow in your faith and relationship with God. I encourage you to find a local church and get connected. Make sure that they preach what the Word of God says and not what religion says.
