Salvation is a great mystery. The Bible tells us that it’s foolishness to the world. The Bible tells us that we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23), and yet that doesn’t keep us from being able to walk into God’s presence when we have Jesus.
Jesus is the true victor and power behind salvation.
He is this because of a word called “substitution”.
Jesus literally took our place in punishment physically, spiritually and mentally. That’s why we have wholeness when we accept his sacrifice.
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 14:6 NIV
Jesus is the WAY
Another word for “way” is path or journey. Everyone wants to try to work their way to heaven, but the key words in that phrase is work “THEIR WAY”.
You cannot get to Jesus by going YOUR way. You have to go the WAY of JESUS.
Salvation starts with a relationship with Jesus.
Jesus talks about telling some “depart from me you workers of iniquity I NEVER KNEW YOU.”
It’s not good enough to be a Christian in name only. You have to actually build a relationship with Jesus and it starts by doing things Jesus’s way.
(This is what LORDSHIP is all about)
Jesus is the TRUTH
There is a concept floating around in culture today called “my truth”. That is a lie from the pit of hell come to steal salvation from anyone who will listen to it.
You cannot have your own personal truth. You can believe whatever you want, but that doesn’t make it truth.
There is only one truth and it’s Jesus.
Jesus is the LIFE
Everyone is looking for eternal life. They write movies and video games about searching for the “Fountain of Youth” or “Spring of Eternal Life”. The concept is that there is a well which will give eternal life.
The thing is that there really is a wellspring of life that brings eternal life! The problem for some is that it doesn’t look like what they think it should look like.
10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
John 4:10 KJV
The Bible clearly states what eternal life is.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
John 17:3 KJV
No Salvation Comes Apart from Jesus
God has highly exalted Jesus because Jesus humbled Himself. With humility comes honor but with pride comes a fall and shame.
Accepting Jesus as your Savior might require a little bit of humility, but the truth is that you cannot do it without Him.
Have you ever heard the phrase, “We aren’t trying to reinvent the wheel.”
Jesus already built a way to God. WHY wouldn’t you accept it? Pride?
That’s not a very good reason at all.
28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28 KJV
If you’re ready to quit feeling empty, weary and burdened then today is your day. Repeat this prayer and watch as God fills your emptiness with peace and life.
Jesus is the WAY, TRUTH and LIFE.
Salvation Prayer
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:9-10 KJV
Repeat the prayer below to give your life to Jesus today.
“Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead, and I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. Jesus I call upon your name today. Thank you for being my WAY, TRUTH and LIFE. In Jesus Name, Amen.”
